SOMETIMES IN THE DARK, IT'S WORTH CLOSING YOUR EYES DIE - Dark Immersive Experience is an immersive experience created by Michel Simeão, realised in the dark through a trail with an audio guide recorded in a binaural system (360º sound) giving a total sense of sound immersion. What is binaural recording? It's a type of recording created using innovative technology that allows audio to be recorded in such a way as to imitate the way the ear picks up sound waves. The sounds are placed in three dimensions, providing a totally immersive experience by creating a 360º bubble around the listener. Binaural recordings are made exclusively for headphones and can only be enjoyed in this way, giving a deep sense of immersion. We invite you to face the greatest fear of all: your own Death. This innovative project will take you to a world of sound textures, dialogues and images, plunging you into the densest darkness and the total unknown. It's a sensory experience of personal fulfilment that aims to recreate the most varied scenarios of what might happen after death. We invite you to take a terrifying and emotionally intense 30-minute journey through the black cloak of death, where your only compass is a rope that you can't let go of at any time. This Dark Immersive Experience is totally innovative and unprecedented - on the other side, anything can happen as you wander through sounds, disturbing images and sinister shadows. Is what you see reality or your imagination? You'll enter a limbo where life and death are confused and where you'll have to accept challenges in order to move on and emerge from your death with a new life. It's said that in life the only certainty we have is death. Death, on the other hand, is a sea of uncertainty. That's what we're going to explore, the greatest fear of all: the unknown. And remember: whatever you see, whatever you do, never let go of the rope because you'll be lost forever in Limbo. Only the rope can take you to the other side. An experiment by Michel Simeão Original idea by José Chaíça and Michel Simeão Co-Production: Teatro Reflexo and Custom Circus
